Haley Lerner is journalist based in Boston, Massachusetts. Currently, she works as an Associate Producer for Arts and Culture for GBH News, Boston’s local NPR and PBS. She reports on the region’s vibrant arts scene, live music, books, food and more. Her work can be found here.
Lerner is a lover of reading – particularly fantasy and romance – and likes diving in with an author about their motivations behind the stories they write. She’s also an avid concert goer, and enjoys interviewing musicians, covering exciting performances, and photographing live shows.
Prior to working on the arts and culture desk, Lerner worked as a Production Assistant for GBH’s “Greater Boston.”
She graduated from Boston University in May 2021, with a major in Journalism and minors in political science and history of art & architecture. She received the Blue Chip Award upon graduation, the most prestigious undergraduate award at BU’s College of Communication. She is originally from Long Island, New York.
In the summer of 2020, Haley interned at the Miami Herald, where she reported on courts, crime and the COVID-19 pandemic in South Florida.
Previously, she served as editor-in-chief of BU's independent student newspaper, The Daily Free Press. Prior to leading the paper, she was the city editor, where she extensively covered Boston news.
